The paper treats the main ideas of labor education in Germany in the 19th century. The paper analyzes German pedagogues’ ideas on labor activity at schools, which was aimed at all-round education. The article analyzes the pros and contras of the German pedagogical system. It highlights the influence of the period under discussion on further development of integral processes in pedagogy.
