Emission in frictional contact as a means of monitoring sliding surfaces at the stage of internal combustion engine aging.p.133-149
UDC 534
The paper highlights the uses of emission in frictional contact as a means of monitoring sliding surfaces at the stage of internal combustion engine aging. In mutual contact materials emit elastic waves caused by the dynamic rearrangement of their internal structure. The emission retrieval provides useful information which allows to diagnose engine performance related problems on the basis of emission characteristics.
acoustic emission, signal amplitude, plastic deformation, surface layer, energy pulse.
