The contradictory of the artistic image of the Prince Oleg Ivanovich of Ryazan considered in the context “Story about Tokhtamysh’s invasion”, that is reading in the all–Russian vaults of XV–XVI centuries. The chronicle myth of Ryazan governor in this text was created with Biblical quotations, military formulas, that the scribes used depending on the time and location of the monument of old Russian literature.
