Human rights movement in the soviet union during the Brezhnev era: some aspects of history. p. 77-88.

The article focuses on the history of human rights movement in the Soviet Union during L.I. Brezhnev’s rule. The author singles out the main stages of the movement’s development and views them against the background of Soviet and international realia. The author maintains that under L.I. Brezhnev’s rule human rights movement underwent sustainable development and achieved international acceptance. The development of human rights movement, which relied greatly on the guidelines suggested by the Helsinki Process on Globalization and Democracy, was impeded by the totalitarian regime. The first stage of development is dated 1964–1967, the second – 1968–1975, the third – 1976–1982.
