Islam. Challenges of Globalization

UDC  297:327

The investigation of civilization as a complex phenomenon has become especially relevant in modern conditions of globalization. Even stable social-economic and cultural communities are growing increasingly concerned about the problem of integration and the preservation of self-identity. Muslim civilization, which is neither continental nor sub-continental, has united national entities in different parts of the world, which have different cultural traditions, different ethnic and racial traditions, self-awareness and languages. Muslim civilization, which doesnʼt have common geographical landmarks, is united by religious traditions. History shows that no western model of development has proved to be successful in countries with Muslim traditions. Muslim civilization has its own model of development, which frightens the western world. The issue of finding a way of harmonious co-development of the Muslim world and the western world is very important. We should cast away all stereotypes based on the idea of aggressive contradiction between different religions, including Islam and Christianity.
