Durov V.I.

The Russian Empire in the tactics of the Czech nationalism during The First World War P. 53-59.

UDC 647.083.76:943.7.08«1914/1918»

The paper attempts to observe the role of the foreign aid in the Czech nationalism. The analysis shows that Russian Empire after declaration of the war on Austria-Hungary took on an important value in tactics of Czech nationalists. It was planned that Russian Empire would be a guarantor of the Czechoslovak independence after the war. However, the Czech plans were changed because of the long war and Russian revolutions. T.G. Masaryk was recognized by Czechs in Russia as a leader of the Czech movement. The Czech movement finally reoriented to the Entente.
