Энтони Берджесс и Викарм Сет – поэты XX века: критическое эссе. С.64-78

В данной статье анализируются современные (конец XX столетия) романы в стихах, в частности «Берн» (Byrne) Энтони Берджеса (1995) и роман в стихах «Золотые ворота» Викрама Сета (1986), которые значительно отличаются от эпических поэм, созданных Гомером и Вергилием. Реалистичность стиля отличает их и от романов в стихах XIX века. Автор изучает историческую подоплеку возникновения романа в стихах как отдельного жанра литературы, его художественные особенности, роль ранних поэтов-романистов в создании этого жанра.
