The article deals with the problems of front formation in peace-loving countries during the period of agrevation of the international situation after the nazification of Germany. The paper centers on Anglo-Italian relations and on British diplomatic attempts to make Italy join Western countries, using B. Mussolini’s desire to preserve the country’s independence from Austria and his plans for West Africa.
