Gornov Vladimir Anatolievich – Candidate of History, Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology of Ryazan State University named for S.A. Yesenin.
In 1990 the scholar graduated from Ryazan State Pedagogical Institute named for S. A. Esenin. S.A. Yesenin (1990) as a qualified History, Social Sciences and English teacher.
In 1996 he defended PhD thesis titled “History of Russian zemstvo in the second half of XIX – beginning of XX cent. and its reflection in the national historical science (1946-1995)” at Moscow State Pedagogical University
Experience of scientific and pedagogical activity: since 1990 till nowadays.
At Ryazan State University named for S.A. Yesenin, he held teaching positions from assistant to associate professor.
He was as deputy dean for academic work (2004-2006), head of department (2008-2018), director of the Center for Sociological Research (2010-2018, 2021 – n/a), Vice-Rector for Science (2018-2021), headed the Center for Study and Preservation of Russian Historical, Cultural and Geographical Heritage (2022 – n/a).
V.A. Gornov participated in scientific and educational programs supported by international and Russian foundations. He has more than 140 published works, including monographs, study guides, and articles in journals from the list of peer-reviewed scientific publications (the Higher Attestation Commission) and encyclopedic editions.

– Commemorative signs of the Governor of the Ryazan region “125 years since Sergei Yesenin’ birth ” (2018) and “270 years since Herman of Alaska’s birth” (2021).
