The article centers on the role of astrology in Chaucer’s «The Canterbury Tales». The paper maintains that the astrological views of that epoch were reflected in G.Chaucer’s characters and predetermined the plot development of some stories. The article also comments on some mysterious pieces of the British writer’s work, which may seem vague to a modern reader.
