UDC 956.94«192/193»

The article investigates the role Great Britain played in the establishment of the Palestinian Legislative Council. The article centers on whether the projects of the Palestinian Legislative Council formation meet the requirements of peace between ethnic and religious groups. The author focuses on Arab-European confrontation in the Holy Land, and analyzes the adequacy of measures undertaken by the British government to reconcile Jewish and non-Jewish groups. It should be noted that Russian historiography has never investigated the establishment of the Palestinian Legislative Council.
