Historical Research Conducted by Ryazan Scholars and Registered in International Online Database Systems (2000–2017): Bibliometric Analysis  P. 68-79.

UDC  001(471.313)«2000/2017»

The paper provides the results of a bibliometric analysis of research papers published by Ryazan historians in 2000–2017 and registered in international online database systems such as the Web of Science database and the Scopus database. The main criteria of analysis are publication year, authorship, content, affiliations, print source. The paper registers the main trends in Ryazan historiansʼ research activity and assesses authors and research institutions by weighing them against the number of publications affiliated to them. The paper maintains that Ryazan historians publish their works solely in Russian journals registered in the Web of Science database and the Scopus database, which imposes limitations on their research potential. The acquired bibliometric data underline a long-term and fruitful cooperation between Ryazan historians and prestigious international online database systems. The paper is prepared within the framework of research project 17-13-62001 supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research.
