The paper deals with various interpretations of A.S. Makarenko’s contribution to social pedagogy. The paper maintains that the interpretation of the outstanding social pedagogue’s ideas was constantly changing under the influence of official pedagogy. The paper analyzes the interpretations of A.S. Makarenko’s ideas on different age groups.
