September 11, 2001 is notorious for the terroristic act that killed thousands of people and shocked Western civilization. Osama bin Laden was declared responsible for the attacks. But the legend of bin Laden as a religious and political leader was created in the 1980s-1990s, the period of global economic recession and the political split of the Islamic world.

Islam, tradition, terrorism, western civilization, new world order.
