The paper analyzes E.S. Stepanova’s life and work. The paper shows major trends and results of E.S. Stepanova’s research and characterizes her educational and research activities as a teacher and Dean of the Faculty of History of Ryazan State University named for S.A. Yessenin (previously known as Ryazan State Pedagogical University).
