The assessment of tourist resources in protected areas. P. 199- 208.

The paper presents the results of a sociological research conducted by the author in some conservation areas in order to investigate the role various objects of cultural heritage play in the development of tourism. National parks and nature reserves are effectively preserved and protected by the governmental institutions for conservation of natural and cultural heritage. The paper singles out some indexes that show whether tourists are attracted to various objects of cultural and natural heritage. The results of the research allow us to rationalize tourism development in protected areas by redistributing the recreation/tourism load.
