The article analyzes the author’s presence in sentimental (“Poor Lisa”, “Natalia the Boyar’s Daughter”) and pre–romantic (“The Island of Bornholm”, “Sierra–Morena”) novels by N.M.Karamzin. The article analyzes the lyrical and the epic aspects of the novels: lyrical digressions, emotional narrative, etc. The author’s presence is analyzed through the prism of the literary movement.
