The criticism of British political parties in the works of Russian revolutionary democrats A.I. Herzen and N.P. Ogarev. P.32-40.

Recognizing the necessity of social, economic and political changes, mid-19th century revolutionary democrats A.I. Herzen and N.P. Ogarev analyzed European constitutionalism and European parliamentary system. Highlighting the importance of gradual changes in the UK political system, they abstained from idealizing it. A.I. Herzen and N.P. Ogarev condemned the vestiges of feudalism and maintained that any party system in which political power rested with a few wealthy people and not the whole society was formal and socially narrow. The radical social-political philosophers maintained that Russia should refrain from any blind copying of the English party system.
