GEOMORPHOLOGIC ZONATION OF THE RYAZAN REGION AT THE LOCAL LEVEL

The article characterizes major principles of geomorphic zonation of the Ryazan Region at the local level. It presents an updated map of geomorphic zonation of the region showing geomorphic regions and sub-regions and providing sample geomorphic descriptions. Geomorphic zonation of sub-regions is performed with due consideration of morphometric features, lithogenic bases, and morphogenetic structures associated with exogenous relief-building processes, including anthropogenic morpho-lithogenesis. Geomorphic zones are mapped and labeled individually. The article provides sample descriptions of geomorphic zones in different geomorphic sub-regions.
