The article deals with the 17th stanza of S.A.Yessenin’s poem “The Black Man”. It provides a comparative analysis of the stanza and the third part of T.S.Eliot’s poem “The Waste Land”, which allows the author to suppose that S.A.Yessenin was familiar with the English poet’s work.
