The article provides an interpretation of Dostoevsky’s novel. The new methodology of analysis allows to take into consideration many nuances of the characters’ psychology and therefore clarify the ideological concept of the novel as a whole. The paper proves that the novel demonstrates some tendencies of Dostoevsky’s spiritual search and his education excitement.
