The article covers the issue of diplomatic relations between England and Russia in Afghanistan at the end of the XIX and the beginning of the XX century. The fact–based study makes it possible to bring to light the peculiarities of making an agreement between England and Russia towards Afghanistan, the delicacy of making Russian foreign policy in this country, the results and importance of English–Russian agreement.
