The authors of the article use geomorphological mapping and a geological- geomorphological profiling to assess the structural evolution and genetic development of the Oka floodplain in the Spask district, where it expands. The authors assess various segments of the floodplain, such as braided and meandering facies, tidal-flat facies, alluvial facies on pre-Holocene silt to discover the peculiarities of alluvial sediment composition. The authors maintain that flat floodplain areas with alluvial facies on pre-Holocene silt predominate. The authors investigate the peculiarities of expansion and occurrence of soil horizons. The analysis reveales the peculiarities of the structural evolution and genetic development of the Oka floodplain.
