The paper treats a Doctor of History, Professor K.A. Malafeev’s contribution to the development of Ryazan school of history, which was formed under the Professor’s guidance at the department of General History and International Relations at Ryazan State University named for S.A. Yessenin in the 1990s. At present the department is famous for training highly qualified specialists in general history. The department is considered to be one of the widely accepted centers of English studies.
