The article analyzes the causes and consequences of the collapse of the liberal-conservative co-alition in the UK in 1922. The Authors show how the split of Lloyd George and the conservatives contrib-uted to the reunification of the national liberals with supporters of Asquith and the strengthening of the position of the Liberal party.
