Nowadays, the agricultural sector is experiencing a problem of developing a systemic structural approach to rational environmental management based on the principles of agricultural zoning. Agricultural land potential constitutes the basis of agricultural zoning. To classify diverse rural communities, one must elaborate a typological approach. The article provides a logical pattern of agricultural zoning, which is based on the principles of territorial classification and will maximize the efficient use of agricultural land.
